ABKC Guide — Privacy

Who operates this

The ABKC Guide is an automated chat assistant operated by CooperLuxe on behalf of the American Bully Kennel Club (ABKC) during a testing period. It runs at abkc.cooperlux.com. This notice covers only the ABKC Guide chat assistant; the ABKC website has its own policies.

What we collect

• Your messages — the text you type into the chat.
• Contact details you choose to share — for example your name, email, or what you're interested in, if you decide to provide them.
• Basic technical data needed to deliver and protect the service (for example, data used by our bot-protection check).

Please do not share information you don't want forwarded to the ABKC team, and do not share other people's personal information.

How we use it

• To generate helpful replies, your message is processed by an automated AI assistant.
• If you share contact details that show you'd like the ABKC team to follow up, those details are sent to the ABKC team by email, and you may receive an automated confirmation reply.
• To keep the assistant available and to prevent abuse.

How it's stored

During this testing period, chat messages and any contact details are delivered by email to the ABKC team rather than saved in a CooperLuxe database. Emails are then retained by the recipients under their normal email practices.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run the assistant: Cloudflare (hosting and the Turnstile bot-protection check), the AI model provider that generates replies, and Resend (email delivery). They process information only to provide these services.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

The ABKC Guide is not directed to children under 13 and will not knowingly collect a child's personal information. If a request involves a minor, the assistant directs it to a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian should handle anything involving a minor, including ABKC Academy enrollment, through the verified parental-consent flow on the ABKC site.

Cookies

The assistant does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The Cloudflare Turnstile bot-protection check may set a short-lived token solely to confirm you're a real person.

Your choices & rights

Sharing contact details is optional. To ask what information you've sent, or to request that it be deleted, email [email protected]. We'll act on reasonable requests consistent with applicable privacy laws.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information handled by the assistant. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
